Free ConsultationKitchen Remodel Colorado Springs: Costs, Timelines, and What to Expect
If you have spent any time staring at outdated cabinet doors, countertops that have seen better days, or a layout that makes cooking feel more like an obstacle course than something enjoyable, you already know the feeling. The kitchen is the room where your household actually lives, and when it stops working for you, it shows up every single day.
I am Curtis Peyton, owner of I'm The Man Services, and I have been renovating Colorado Springs kitchens for more than 15 years. I want to give you a straight answer on what a kitchen renovation in Colorado Springs actually costs, how long it takes, and what the process looks like from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
What Does a Kitchen Remodel Cost in Colorado Springs?
This is almost always the first question, and it is a fair one. Kitchen remodel cost in Colorado Springs varies quite a bit depending on size, materials, and scope, but here is a grounded starting point.
At I'm The Man Services, kitchen remodels for spaces between 75 and 250 square feet start at $25,000. That is a realistic floor for a project that includes quality materials, skilled labor, and a result that will last.
A few things that move the number up or down:
- Cabinetry and hardware. Semi-custom versus fully custom makes a significant difference. So does whether you are keeping the existing layout or reconfiguring it entirely.
- Countertops. Quartz, granite, quartzite, butcher block, or laminate all land at different price points.
- Tile work. A simple subway tile backsplash is very different from a full tile hood surround or intricate mosaic detail work.
- Appliances. Whether we are sourcing new appliances as part of the project or working around what you already have.
- Structural changes. Removing a wall, relocating a sink, or moving the range involves plumbing, electrical, or both.
Rather than a rough estimate over the phone, I prefer to walk the space with you. That is the only way to give you a number you can actually plan around.
Financing is available through GreenSky with terms ranging from 12 to 120 months, so a project of this size does not have to wait until you have the full amount sitting in savings.
What Is Included in a Kitchen Renovation?
A kitchen renovation through I'm The Man Services is a full design-build project. You work directly with me throughout, and I coordinate every trade involved. Here is what that typically covers:
Custom cabinetry and layout design. Whether you want a clean Shaker style, something more modern, or a craftsman-inspired look, we work through the design before a single cabinet is ordered. Islands, pantry additions, and built-in storage are all part of what we do regularly.
Countertops and surfaces. We source materials from suppliers I have worked with for years across Colorado Springs, so you get quality at a fair markup. I apply a 50% markup on materials, and I never mark up labor because I am the one doing the work.
Backsplash and tile. Tile is one of those details that either pulls a kitchen together or quietly undermines it. I am a member of the National Wood Flooring Association and bring that same level of precision to tile work throughout the house.
Lighting. Under-cabinet lighting, pendant fixtures over an island, recessed overhead lighting — all of these get addressed as part of the project, not as an afterthought.
Appliances. We can help source and coordinate installation of new appliances as part of the renovation, or we plan around your existing ones.
Coordination of trades. Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work is handled by licensed subcontractors I have vetted and worked with over the years. You have one contact — me — for everything.
Every project also comes with a one-year workmanship warranty, and I carry a $2 million general liability policy. You can request a certificate of insurance at any point.
How Long Does a Kitchen Remodel Take?
A typical kitchen renovation at I'm The Man Services runs 7 to 20 days. Where a project lands in that range depends on:
- The size and complexity of the space
- Whether structural changes are involved
- Material lead times for cabinets, countertops, and specialty tile
- Permit requirements, if applicable
I schedule projects with realistic timelines and keep you informed if anything shifts. Material delays are the most common source of timeline changes, and I flag those early rather than letting them become surprises mid-project.
Why Hire a Local Colorado Springs Contractor?
There are real advantages to working with someone who knows this market and this climate.
Colorado Springs has a mix of home styles, from mid-century ranch homes in Broadmoor to newer builds in Briargate and custom homes throughout Black Forest. I have worked in all of them. I know what materials hold up in our altitude and dry climate, what styles fit which neighborhoods, and what local inspectors look for.
I am also a one-person operation with a helper and a trusted network of subcontractors. That means you are not dealing with a project manager who hands off your job to a crew you have never met. You are working directly with the person whose name is on the business.
Home remodeling in Colorado Springs is a significant investment. Choosing a contractor who will still be here when you have a question three years from now matters.
